Volunteering during the lockdown

A Star Staff were Volunteering to cut and make scrubs to ensure that our NHS and Care home staff were kept safe against the Virus Pandemic.

Using our equipment and knowledge to cut fabrics that we were not used to and adapting patterns ready for Laser cutting was a challenge – but we rose to it and made hundreds and hundreds of sets of scrubs in lots of different colours and fabrics for various Hospitals and Care Homes.  The fabric came in creased from the Laundry and the team worked hard to Iron it all to enable us to cut it by Laser.  Our sewers then got to it and put together the garments ready for despatch.  A Real team effort.  Well done to all that helped!
