Leotards
We have a ‘stock’ range of leotards which we change every year. All the leotards in this range can have their colours or fabrics changed to match your clubs colours. We can add or take away sleeves, diamante, detail, fabrics and much more on any of our leotard designs. We can also make complimentary boys leotard for any of the designs in this range. We work with our designer to make leotards from your drawings or images that you can email to us. We can also make leotards based on ones you have had previously or have seen around or online. We cannot copy any leotards unless you own the design but are more than happy to work with you to alter and change the leotard so you can keep the aspects that you like. We know that one leotard can’t be suitable for all purposes so we endeavour to make a leotard that is fit for purpose. We can make lycra Rec leotards, these are easy to wash and durable. We make a lot of training leotards and can customise these by adding your logo club name or Initials in diamante, print or embroidery for these leotards. We can work with you to design a stunning club leotard as we know how much a competition leotard can change a performance so we want it to be perfect. Tell us your idea and we will bring it to life for you.
Tracksuits
We are building an extensive range of comfortable, practical, high quality tracksuits. We use a gorgeous Italian fabric called ‘Microtex’ to make our tracksuits. This is not like other tracksuit fabric and is proving to be a real winner with everyone who has had it. If you would like to receive a free fabric sample please email us or give us a call and we will be happy to help. We can offer anything from a plain standard black tracksuits to a fitted, brightly coloured embellished tracksuit depending on what you are looking for. We can personalise any tracksuit with your club details, logo, name, initials, sponsorship information in print, diamante and/or embroidery.

Firstly we can make leggings, shorts, crop tops, sports tops and much more in a variety of lycras. They can be plain or we can add print, applique, diamante or embroidery to make them individual to your club. Secondly; print wear that can be used for training! We buy in t-shirts, hoodies, dancewear, polos ect and add print, diamante and embroidery. We can put individual names, club names or anything you would like on them.
Printwear
So we can print you leotards, personalise your training kit and add your logos to your tracksuits but what about accessories and club wear? We can do that too! Coaches Kit

You need to represent your club and we can help. We can obtain high quality garments for coaches; T shirts, Polos, hoodies, zipped jackets, trousers, trackie bottoms, body warmers, and much, much more. We can add your logo, name, contact details to these.
The Ordering Process
From the initial enquiry to the final order we want to make it easy for you. When we first receive an enquiry we will work with you to find out what you need and want. We offer to send out free fabrics samples to allow you to see the quality and colour of our fabrics. We can also make samplers for tracksuits. This is 2,3 or 4 pieces of fabric sewn together in the colours you are looking for with print, diamante or embroidery of your club name, logo or stone colour choice on. We think this helps you to see how the fabrics are going to look together and what embellishment is suitable.
Once we know this, your specification will be sent to our designer who will create a CAD image which we will send to you to confirm. If you have any queries or changes we can adjust the design. We will then give you a final price. Once you are happy we will make you a first sample of the garment. This will be in a size of your choice and will be bought by you or the club. If there are any changes we can sort these out at this point to ensure when you place your main order you are getting exactly what you need. Once all the details are confirmed we will await your main order. We are happy to provide you with an order form to make this easier. This will have a code, description and price for all the items we supply to you. We also want to ensure everyone is happy with what they have ordered. All our club items are made to order making them non exchangeable in most circumstances. To avoid any sizing issues we offer trial sizing to all clubs when they first use A Star. This service is free (however we do require a card guarantee against the goods). We send you a range of stock line items in the size range you specify allowing you to try them on and size everyone up.
Although we have no minimum orders we encourage orders to be grouped together wherever possible. To do this we offer discounts for bulk orders. On your first order we will give you a price for individual items then when you place your first order we will apply the discount and set your price at this. For example if your leotard is £40 for one and you order 30 or more of the same items in any sizes we will give you 10% off and set your leotard price at £36 thereafter. We always try and meet our customer’s deadlines wherever possible and go out of our way to make this happen. We always try and advise our customers when we are getting busy to ensure any order they need for a deadline are placed in time.
We do ask all orders are placed via the coach or a nominated member. The reason for this is to make sure we are batch making club items wherever possible therefore keeping productions costs down and allowing us to continue providing them at your set price. We do however allow the order to be placed by one designated person and then individual parents can call and pay for the goods. We pride ourselves on offering helpful and friendly customer service. All our items are handmade in Devon in the south west of England. We try to meet all your deadlines and work hard to make sure you have what you need.

CARE INSTRUCTION
We want your garments to stay in good condition for as long as possible as I am sure that you do. Foil print and metallic garments may fade or dull with wear and repeated washing. Areas that incur friction or abrasion may show some loss of foil. This does not constitute a fault. To ensure your garments stay in “as good as new” condition please see the advice below on how to care for your garment and also the practices to avoid:
After wearing your leotard
It is best to take off your leotard as soon as you can after you have finished your session and to then turn it inside out. This is to allow any moisture to evaporate rather than be trapped within the leotard, Body fluids can discolour the leotard and so care needs to be taken to clean these from the garment as soon as possible.
How to wash your Gymnastics Garments
What not to do….
- DO NOT machine wash
- DO NOT use bleach/machine wash detergents or fabric softeners
- DO NOT rub or scrub foil print or metallic garments
- DO NOT twist or wring the garment out
- DO NOT Tumble Dry
- DO NOT iron
- DO NOT hang over radiators or put near direct heat
- DO NOT allow to stay damp or wet for long periods
Now that you’ve been told what not to do, here is what you can do…….
- Turn your garment inside out.
- Hand wash separately.
- Use a very small amount of hand wash (neutral soap) detergent – many of the common machine wash detergents are too harsh and will make colours run and metallics fade. Gently hand wash your leotard in a large volume of cold water using a small amount of mild detergent. Too much detergent can have the same effect so never exceed the manufacturer’s instructions on dilution of detergent. If you are unsure what detergent to use then please ring for more advice.
- Lay the leotard between two towels and roll up to remove the excess water.
- Hang garment to dry on a hanger and away from direct heat, but always avoid using clothes pegs as they weaken the fabric and, especially with velour, leave unsightly pressure marks.
Colour
- If your garment contains sensitive colour combinations i.e. both dark and light colours, always wash in a large volume of water. If you notice the water starting to discolour, remove the item IMMEDIATELY and rinse in fresh cold water until bleeding stops. It may be that the detergent is too strong or that you have used too much.
- After washing, rinse with cold fresh water.
- Do not allow to drip dry as bleeding of colour can happen at this point also.
- If hanging on a coat hanger, do not let the leotard touch itself front to back as the dampness can cause bleeding also.
Please bear in mind:
Shimmer, Hologram and mesh fabrics are designed for competition leotard and therefore repeated wearing and washing may cause the fabrics to fade or lose foil. Foiled fabrics could be potentially be damaged due certain routines or excessive rubbing against abrasive equipment. Delicate fabrics can be affected by alcohol in products such as deodorants, perfume and hair products. Uric acid from perspiration and chemicals in deodorants may cause foil damage, we recommend antiperspirant deodorant.
A Star may refuse returns that have not been cared for as advised and will not guarantee any garment that is not washed and dried as directed.
